The aim of King Street School P&C Association is to provide facilities and equipment to the school and promote the recreation and welfare of students through the close co-operation between parents, citizens, staff and students.
The P&C provides a forum for parents to learn about, discuss and participate in the decision making about all aspects of school life.
Through our fundraising initiatives such as the annual Cracker Night and raffles for Easter, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day, we raise significant funds. The P&C is also responsible for the operation of the uniform shop and the school canteen which provides access to healthy and affordable lunches for students. The profits from both the uniform shop and canteen are returned to the P&C. All funds raised by the P&C are used to provide educational, classroom and sporting resources for the school. Examples of recent contributions to the school are the purchase of interactive whiteboards, computers for the library, sporting jerseys for school representative teams, reading and maths learning resources and musical instruments.
The P&C is only able to provide this assistance to the school and students through the wonderful work of many volunteers from our school community and we would love to have more people join us.
The P&C meets the first Monday of every month during school terms at 6pm and all parents or citizens are welcome to attend these meetings. However if you are unable to attend the meetings but would still like to help out, please consider putting your name down to help out in the canteen or in the uniform shop.
